Job Title: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Maintenance Manager

Pay Range: $25.05-$30.06

SUMMARY: In addition to the duties of Maintenance Techician I, performs preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Follows standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness.
Comprehensive knowledge troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, maintaining, and making improvements to mechanical systems.
Weld and Fabricate parts as needed.
Thoroughly understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.
Coordinates and directs outside vendors on projects, and breakdowns.
Maintaining all equipment, tools, supplies in stock, inventories, and logs.
Work closely with the maintenance and production personnel on repairs.
Read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals and parts diagram.
Perform all other duties as required.
Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Responsible for food product quality and safety.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or G.E.D. required, technical school training in maintenance related courses is required.
1-3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment
Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, read schematics, establish priorities, and work under deadline pressures.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new job-related software.
Must be able to perform on-call duty on any shift and work overtime on short notice basis.
Continuous standing, walking and reaching.
Intermittent crouching/stopping, pushing/pulling, bending and lifting/lowering.
Intermittent lifting of over 50 pounds without assistance or up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Ability to work in a continuously hot environment.
Duties are performed with some exposure to noise, lubricants and chemicals.
May also work in areas that are confined, dusty, and dirty or require personal protective equipment.
Be able to take direction and follow instructions.
Ability to organize and prioritize task to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
