Job Summary: The Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for managing project activities across teams and functions including: project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality, risk management, reporting, communication and cost. The PM controls the critical path, contingencies, scope changes and budget (both labor and non-labor). The PM coordinates the day-to-day activities of the project team from original concept through final implementation and ensures that resources are used efficiently. They may manage single or multiple projects in parallel and ensures projects are aligned with IT standards Applies technical knowledge in determining end to end design requirements for projects involving line of business, software developers and vendors. Work closely with IT partners to identify gaps in processes and offer best practice solutions, determine requirements, and develop functional designs based on the analysis of line of business needs, objectives and existing systems infrastructure. Work closely with developers and testers to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans and scripts serve customer needs. Major Responsibilities: Guides projects through the project management lifecycle to achieve successful implementation Prepare all project deliverables – scope documents, functional requirements, project plans, test plans, communication plans, user guides etc. Keeps project stakeholders informed. Uses any tools that are appropriate. These include project status reports, meeting minutes, and face to face meetings Perform business analysis to understand and interpret the requirements for all IT projects that help to improve efficiencies Perform data analysis to understand use cases and identify improvements and solutions to streamline related processes. Identify and manage risks. Recognize issues and proactively create ways to mitigate their impact Identify gaps in processes and ways to move the IT department to align with industry best practices Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related business discipline(s). 7 years of hands-on IT experience supporting Infrastructure projects Experience with process improvement/ process analysis Knowledge of ITIL and best practices is preferred, strong understanding of Service Now preferred. Extreme attention to detail Experience in data analysis Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with different stakeholder audiences Effective presentation skills Able to work independently and in a team environment Other requirements Mizuho currently requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to work on-site (unless a legally-required accommodation or exemption has been approved).
