Job Description: Our Summer Analyst Program offers the opportunity to be a part of a leading business in Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange sales to corporate clients across our fixed income, banking, and currency businesses. Our program includes an investment banking training program followed by exposure to fixed income markets, and different functions in sales, trading, origination, and structuring/quantitative analysis. As a summer intern, you will learn key fundamentals from pitching to assisting with sales, trading and hedging activities, while seeing firsthand how the markets behave. The Team: The Derivatives Risk Solutions Americas team is a collection of salespeople and structurers dedicated to advising global corporations and financial sponsors on interest rate and foreign exchange products. The team works with global corporate and financial sponsor treasury teams to recommend and execute FX and rates products. Responsibilities Provide support to senior sales team in the structuring and marketing of interest rate & currency derivative strategies to the team’s clients Perform company and market research to identify current trends & opportunities Model, structure, and price derivative products Help create market commentary on interest rates and foreign exchange markets Qualifications Working towards a degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Statistics or other related major Strong communication and interpersonal skills Efficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint Adaptable and work both independently and as part of a team Familiarity with Bloomberg a plus Must be a rising senior graduating in Fall 2022 or May 2023 Other requirements Mizuho currently requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to work on-site (unless a legally-required accommodation or exemption has been approved).
