INDUSTRIAL INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN - $3,000 SIGN ON BONUS

Responsibilities:
- Provides technical expertise to plant personnel during equipment problems, repair, troubleshooting and during root cause investigations.
- Sets up, calibrate, tests, measure and repair all types of electrical controls, instruments, and electronic components.
- Collects equipment operation history and data to facilitate reliability improvements.
- Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions and helps document failure analysis.
- Performs preventative maintenance of equipment and instrument calibrations.
- Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
- Is a proactive member of the team. Looks for, repairs, process improvements, and maintains a preventative attitude.
- Monitors controls and electrical equipment to ensure effective and efficient service.
- Ensures preventative maintenance procedures are carried out in accordance with SOP, SSOP, and in a timely manner.
- Sets up and operate tools used to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Dismantles functional systems and tests components.
- Starts system, observes operation, read, and calibrate gauges and instruments, and adjusts mechanisms such as valves, controls, pumps to control level of fluid, pressure, and temperature in plant systems.
- Keeps maintenance shop and assigned areas neat, clean, and organized.
- Configures Hart smart devices using a HART communicator.
- Works well with the Maintenance department to help solidify electrical repairs and assist with projects.
- Demonstrates sound work ethic.
- Supports and encourages greater employee teamwork.
- Knows, understands, and follows OSHA and Safety Regulations.
- Follows L.O.T.O policies.
- Communicates safety issues to managers and Safety department.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Industrial Instrumentation Technician.
- Must be able to pass a DISA D/A test.
- Stand, walk, sit, kneel, and walk up and down stairs on regular basis; climb up and down ladders up to 35 feet high repeatedly on a shift.
- Work from various heights via platforms, scaffolds, ladders, or man-lifts.
- Bend and stretch, lift, and move heavy objects many times across a shift.
- Operate, maintain, and work near various power equipment, including, but not limited to, forklifts, man-lifts, excavators, drills, saws, hydraulic tools, and automatic machinery.
- Must be safety conscious.
- Will be on 24/7 call every other week.
