What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rolling Mill Operator position at MKR Fabricators?
A growing, heavy fabrication shop in Saginaw is looking to add a skilled rolling mill operator to its team. The position is full-time, with over-time potential as the workload demands. Second shift positions will come with a shift premium. Pay is competitive and based on experience and capabilities.
Qualifications:
- No degree necessary
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Knowledge of basic hand tools
Preferred:
- Three years of rolling mill experience desired, not required
- Strong math background
Responsibilities:
- Set-up and operation of rolling mill press
- Ability to adjust and calibrate equipment pressure, speed, temperature, and general operation
- Operate a forklift and overhead crane
- Document rolls for projects in tracking system as necessary
- Maintain safe work environment by following safety processes and procedures
- Inspect and ensure equipment functionality and safety before use
PPE supplied by the company including steel-toed boots, gloves, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 – 56 per week
