Associate Software Automation Engineer, Hybrid position

Plasma control presents many technical challenges that needs innovative thinking and inquisitive engineering minds. This role offers a hybrid work option (remote and onsite). What you will do: · Develop and deploy software for flexible, modular and scalable automation systems used in the creation of our products - for use in-house and at suppliers. · Assist in maintaining existing software platforms (in terms of functionality, reliability and performance). · Interface with other cross-functional teams as required on new system designs and continuous improvement initiatives. · Support new automated technology development initiatives and other critical projects. · Work with team lead and other colleagues to determine the labor, schedules, and equipment required for developing, testing and deploying automation solutions. · Manage multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to shift priorities based on company needs. · Develop reusable code for our internal .NET and/or Labview frameworks for production automation. · Create and maintain process documentation - including PM/calibration plans and procedures. · Create, execute and document test and verification/validation plans while creating and communicating technical final reports. · Collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams on design, development and deployment of new automation platforms and technologies. · Provide sustaining technical support (hardware and software) for legacy or new automation platforms deployed throughout the world. · Perform root cause analysis on production software failures, lead corrective action efforts and communicate results.
