JOB DESCRIPTION
The C2BMC National Team provides technical solutions to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Program. C2BMC is the integrating element for the Ballistic Missile Defense System and links various sensors and weapon systems. The system provides capabilities to integrate and synchronize missile defense systems and operations, providing a layered defense against multiple ranges of threats and in all phases of flight.
 
 
Responsibilities;
CIntegrate C2BMC software into the C2BMC test suites at the MDIOC, primarily Virtual servers; develop site and event specific configurations to support test, war games, and exercise events. Operate and troubleshoot C2BMC systems during test events. Work with external National Team (CLAW) personnel to resolve test lab issues; work with C2BMC Operations and Sustainment personnel to resolve installation and processing issues; create and modify scripts to extract specific information from log files; perform data analysis of input, internal, and output message data; trouble shoot both test and operational issues; document test results and prepare test status documentation; author Spiral and build-level test plan documents and procedures; create Test Discrepancy Reports to document issues; assist software development personnel with the investigation and resolution of issues; develop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documents; develop and execute detailed test plans and procedures to test C2BMC in an integrated environment or to test specific capabilities; plan and lead integration C2BMC tests with external elements and sensors; review and provide feedback of system specifications, development, test, network documents as necessary; attend meetings with other C2BMC FAs, customers, etc. and represent the Integration team. Position is based in Colorado Springs at the MDIOC but sometimes multi-week travel to customer sites (e.g. EUCOM, CENTCOM) and contractor sites (e.g. Huntsville, HWY83) may be required. Ability to travel is a requirement.
 
Candidate will be responsible for integrating, sustaining, and operating the C2BMC networks for Spiral 8.2 development network, C2BMC Distributed Training Network (CDTN), Distributed Training Suite (DTS), and Distributed Multi-Echelon Training System (DMeTS) with a focus on the C2BMC Ballistic Missile Defense System Communications Network (BCN) Teleport Gateway (BTG). Individuals must be able to clearly articulate network interface issues with various government and contractor external agencies. These agencies include DISA, MDA/BC, and host tenant support units. Candidates will be required to travel to remote locations to perform network installations and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) in accordance with Program configuration management processes, independently perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel. Candidates will be embedded with the Sustainment team located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
 
Candidate must be a self-starter with good communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Candidate must be able to cooperatively develop integration plans/procedures from sources such as functional/performance requirements and stated technical capabilities, monitor the integration of the test resources, execute these detailed integration procedures, analyze integration results, and present the results orally and in written format. Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be able to work effectively and cooperatively with people within and external to the program, and must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Candidate should have experience in troubleshooting of small to large scale infrastructure.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • 5-10 years 
  • Experience with Systems Integration and System/Software Testing, including virtualized environments
  • Experience in the integration of system components within an integrated test environment;
  • Working knowledge of system design and overall integration into an operational environment; high proficiency with VMware, virtual servers, UNIX, including shell scripting; detailed knowledge of Windows and Unix Working knowledge in test plan/procedure preparation and test execution.
  • Top Secret clearance desired, minimum requirement of Secret security clearance required. IAT Level 2 - must have Security Plus certification or equivalent.
  • Must possess a DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security , GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA). Candidate will be responsible to maintain DoD 8570 certification for the full contract period.
  • Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification
Preferred
  • Ideal candidate should have either knowledge of or practical experience with industry or DoD test methodologies and terminology. 
  • Experience with operational systems (e.g. Aegis, Patriot), development systems (e.g. GMD, THAAD, Aegis), and off-the-shelf statistical analysis packages a plus. ***Candidates without the required 8570 certification may be considered on this requisition and if selected, will have up to 60 days from the C2BMC Program Start Date to obtain the applicable certification to successfully fulfill the requirements of the position. If the selected candidate does not obtain the applicable certification within this timeframe, they will be removed from the Program.
