About the Job
The purpose of this position is to assist the Maintenance Superintendent in monitoring and maintaining proper lubrication of all equipment throughout the plant. This individual will carry out assigned work orders for all preventative, predictive, and corrective lubrication while following all applicable safety standards and best practices. He or she will work with the production & maintenance department to perform housekeeping needs and other production or maintenance duties to facilitate the operational needs of the plant .
Maintaining proper lubrication of all plant equipment is the primary duty of this individual.
Monitor Lubrication needs using Ultrasonic Technology and maintain lubrication records by creating a database and tracking each lubrication point.
Perform routine skilled plant and equipment inspections, reporting any deficiencies that would lead to mechanical breakdowns, safety risks, or delays in production.
Assist maintenance and production employees with various tasks including service and/or repairs as needed, when needed.
Perform Inspections and Lubrications on all mobile equipment and PITs
Enter work request for Preventative Maintenance
Perform Ultrasonic Thickness testing on all critical equipment and maintain data using PC database.
Employees are expected to perform other responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2-year Industrial Maintenance degree preferred.
Experience: 1-3 years relevant experience required.
Knowledge: Basic knowledge of both hydraulic and pneumatic systems with regards to operational function, knowledge of various rotating mechanical equipment including belt conveyors, screw conveyors, bucket elevators, vibrating screens and vibrating feeders, power transmission devices including gear drives, and belt drives, and MSHA & MLC requirements regarding housekeeping lubrication & compliance.
Skills: Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new Software Systems required. Basic welding skills and Electrical troubleshooting and repair are preferred.
Abilities: Ability to operate a variety of mobile equipment including Bobcat, Forklifts, Man Lifts, Haul Trucks and Front-end loaders, perform work at heights requiring safety tie-off, and read and understand manuals and drawings & maintain lubrication logs.
