Our client, a world-renowned multi-billion-dollar manufacturer of outdoor and indoor culinary equipment, is embarking on an exciting phase of digital transformation. With a Global presence, over 50 locations, & several pioneering projects in the pipeline for 2024, they are expanding their IT team to accommodate growth fueled through acquisition and product expansion.
They seek a dedicated Senior Data Migration Specialist with heavy experience with data migrations within SAP S4/HANA and related data tools. This is a brand new role after shifting key technical responsibilities in-house from external partners. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining efficient data migration processes while taking an active role in data governance and integrity. This resource will work closely with internal and external vendors to design, develop, manage data updates, and support data load solutions.
Technical/Functional Skills:
- Proven expertise in data migration, specifically managing tasks within S/4HANA implementations using the S/4HANA Migration Cockpit.
- Proficiency in using the Migration Cockpit through various methods including Direct ERP, Staging tables, and File approaches.
- data update tools such as Winshuttle to orchestrate mock loads, data verification/validation cycles, and resolving data defects.
- experience in leading data migration execution with cleansing, extraction, staging, transforming, loading and verifying SAP data.
- in guiding team members and stakeholders through new data concepts such as Data Stewards, Data Governance, and Data Owners, enhancing data management and governance practices.
- of data load methods/ETL tools.
- have experience with SAP Workflows
- Excellent communication skills and leadership abilities in driving data migration projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, manage, and support data load solutions in the S4/HANA system.
- Lead data governance initiatives, ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
- Contribute to data migration and master data standards, ensuring data cleanliness and consistency.
- Utilize data management tools like Winshuttle, LSMW, SAP BODS, for conducting mock loads, data validation, and addressing data discrepancies.
- Develop technical documentation for data migration activities.
- Manage 3rd partner SAP partners while collaborating closely with business users.
- Generate technical documentation for data migration projects and provide solutions for help desk inquiries, encompassing data troubleshooting and bulk updates.
- Distribute meeting summaries and manage the follow-up on necessary action items with respective stakeholders.
