Industrial Services Project Manager – Aggregate Plant SpecialistMMI is an industrial contractor and steel fabrication company based in Mesa, Arizona.  MMI has been in business since 1974 and continues to grow each year.  We are very proud of the more than 135 loyal members of our team and are looking for individuals to contribute at a very high level. MMI is looking to hire an Industrial Services Project Manager that has the following qualifications and experience.  Familiarity with aggregates and construction materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, etc.Knowledge and experience in various aggregate plant equipment (crushers, wash plants, conveyors, screeners, and various other types of fixed and mobile equipment used in the aggregate industry)Knowledge of the equipment and methods used in the production process, and related aspects of materials storage, handling and distribution of aggregates.Minimum of 5 years proven experience as construction project manager or plant managerBachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, building science or relevant field. A minimum of 6 years aggregate facility operations/maintenance will be considered in lieu of degree.In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principlesFamiliarity with quality and health and safety standardsGood knowledge of MS OfficeFamiliarity with construction/ project management softwareOutstanding communication and negotiation skillsExcellent organizational and time-management skillsA team player with leadership abilitiesPMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.Pay Range:   DOEWe also offer the following benefits:Health Insurance, Dental, Vision and Life401KHoliday PayPaid Time Off10% of base (gain share dependent on revenue, gross profit, and net profit goal attainment)Company VehicleEmployee Referral ProgramDuties of an Aggregate Materials Project Manager:Collaborate with owners, general contractors, engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project and support design/build fabrication needs.Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.Plan all construction operations, prepare job budgets, and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met and profitable project execution is completed on time.Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies.Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities.Collaborate with superintendent to supervise the work of laborers, foremen etc. and give them guidance when needed.Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.Ensure that all work in progress billing is communicated with finance department in a timely manner.Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.Why should you apply?
