This role is required to be onsite at our Canton, MI office.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide quality service to internal and external customers. Able to remain positive in challenging situations.
- Gains understanding how to effectively organize and maintain records related to position specific activities.
- With minimum guidance from a more senior Administrative Assistant or Manager, able to utilize and perform tasks on the office equipment such as printers, copiers, laminators and other.
- Performs general administration tasks such as office supply and vendor management, front desk and visitor management and others with minimum guidance from a more senior team member or manager, in the absence of an admin.
- Gains well rounded organizational skills. Seeks advice from the Line Manager as necessary.
- Gains understanding of how to effectively manage priorities. Seeks guidance from Line Manager as needed.
- Has a basic understanding of regional Employment Law to ensure compliance.
- Basic familiarity with MMS Employee Benefits program. Able to answer basic candidates' and employees' inquiries about company benefits.
- Has limited knowledge of compensation and payroll practices. Assists Line Manager in some aspects of payroll administration.
- Gains understanding of Employee Relations practices. Directs concerns from colleagues to an HR Manager or above to be addressed.
- Provides support with implementation of MMS Learning and Development strategies.
- Has knowledge of a full cycle talent acquisition process. Able to engage candidate's interest by promoting MMS. May require guidance from more senior team members.
Requirements:
- Genuine interest in a career in Human Resources working with a global team.
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, or related.
- 0-2 Years of HR or Administrative experience.
- Knowledge of scientific principles and concepts.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Hands-on experience with clinical trial and pharmaceutical development preferred.
- Good communication skills and willingness to work with others to clearly understand needs and solve problems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with current ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards preferred.
- Familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11, FDA, and GCP requirements.
- Basic understanding of CROs and scientific & clinical data/terminology, & the drug development process.
