Function: Road Surface/Roadside Maintenance
· Learns to perform all activities required for roadside maintenance
· Learns to perform all roadway surface maintenance activities
· Learns to service and make minor repairs to operating equipment
· Learns to provide traffic control
· Learns to perform basic construction monitoring duties and basic inspection activities
Function: Snow and Ice
· Learns to maintain roadways for snow and ice control
· Learns to maintain prepares and inspects winter equipment
· Learns to perform preseason snow route inspection and performs post storm cleanup
· Learns to perform winter stockpile setup and transfer of anti-icing and de-icing chemicals
· Learns to maintain documentation on snow and ice data for accurate reporting of inventory and resource management
· Learns to perform traffic control set-ups and/or provides notification to dispatch of disabled vehicles
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Class A or B Driver’s Permit at the time of Interview. Within 12 months acquire a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement and no air brake restrictions.
