The Solution Consultant will help our customers as they accelerate their digitalization journey to include next generation MES and operational data hub capabilities, as well as develop their necessary manufacturing intelligence. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software/technology sales or consulting and have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges. We are looking for candidates who are comfortable at the intersection of technology and business. You must be broadly competent across many areas of technology (infrastructure, security, DevOps, databases, application development, analytics) and deep in at least 2-3 of those areas. On the business side, the ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to this role. The ideal candidate has the capability of contributing to the design of a complete solution across the entire lifecycle of a project - from pre-sales through design and delivery of the solution - the Principal Solution Consultant drives transformational results and realizes business strategy for AspenTech customers. Your Impact As a key member of the business development and sales team, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software, and services on the platform. Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of the platform and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud. Develop industry and application specific solutions for the customer. This is a very client facing position that will have you leading value discovery customer sessions, assessing customer needs, and developing solutions. Determine and understand prospective client’s critical business issues to present and demonstrate AspenTech’s software capabilities as the best possible solution to win the business. Become a go to person for Cloud Architecture. Basic understanding of IaaS and PaaS services offered on cloud platforms and understand how to use them together to build complex solutions. Ensure that all cloud solutions follow security and compliance controls. Provide thought leadership on cloud platform technology use, design, and implementation. Develop robust recommendations, proposals, and scope of work documents for AspenTech. Consulting engagements while also identifying critical dependencies & gaps. What You'll Need 3 years of consultant, pre-sales, professional services consultant type of role particularly focused on AI/Cloud/SaaS/IoT. 3 years of design, implementation, or consulting experience with distributed applications or systems architecture. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of cloud technologies like machine learning or artificial intelligence. Strong drive to solve customer problems and rapidly convert pipeline opportunities into closed deals. Balance of business and technology acumen, including ability to articulate high-level technical solutions to business problems and the differentiated value those solutions can provide. Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills, including ability to create clear observations, analysis and conclusions based on customer interviews and data. Travel approximately 50%.
