Position Summary:
We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our dynamic 15-bed Women’s Services Department. This role involves working primarily 12-hour shifts, three times per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accurately record all pertinent data in patient medical records
- Perform patient care tasks according to established policies and procedures
- Ensure patient safety and privacy at all times
- Interpret and document fetal monitor tracings accurately
- Place fetal scalp electrodes as needed and appropriate
- Prepare patients for C-sections safely and efficiently
- Understand and execute physician orders for postpartum care
- Adapt nursing care to changing patient needs
- Follow epidural anesthesia protocols
- Assist effectively during vaginal deliveries, including vacuum or forceps delivery
- Provide appropriate newborn care at delivery
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree or higher in Nursing
- Experience: Previous clinical experience in medical and obstetrical nursing preferred
- License: Current Nevada RN license
- Certifications: BLS (within 30 days of hire), ACLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation within 90 days of hire
Schedule:
- Day shifts, 10 hours per shift
- Rotating weekends
