The Strategy & Business Planning Manager supports the development of the Hennessy business roadmap to achieve the MHUSA 2030 strategy. This role works closely with the Director of Strategy & Business Planning to develop and execute strategies and action plans for forecasting, planning, and pricing as well as identifying business growth opportunities, including underrepresented business segments through analysis of data and KPI’s.
Business Analysis & Presentation:
- Conduct monthly analysis of brand performance to create fact-based recommendations and action plans to support an increase in depletions and overall profitability.
- Utilize key information from brand and commercial teams to identify business opportunities in growth markets and underpenetrated consumer segments; work directly with the Business Insight / Data, Analytics and Commercial Management teams to identify areas of opportunity and growth.
- Establish, monitor, and report on overarching business and brand KPIs (Program/initiative KPIs established and tracked in partnership with Brand Marketing).
- Support the team in creating exciting and compelling presentations for senior leadership with clear insights and actionable next steps (Business reviews, Maison presentations, Region calls…)
Supply & Allocations Management
- Manage day-to-day supply allocations to avoid OOS and maximize profitability.
- Participate in Supply & Commercial Management meeting, having clear understanding of forecasting and inventory management for each Hennessy marque
A&P Management
- Pilot the Hennessy A&P management process through monthly team meetings, management of the Masterbrand strat map and development of strategic reporting ahead of the financial deadlines
- Act as the main contact for MAP, the A&P Planning tool and conduct regular training for the brand team
Project Management
Lead cross-functional project to achieve the 2030 Hennessy value creation strategy including the on-premise taskforce and the implementation of the account segmentation strategy.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or MBA preferred.
Professional Experience
5-7 years of experience in business analysis, finance, business intelligence, or corporate strategy with a strong understanding of brand marketing, preferably in a luxury environment.
Practical/Technical Knowledge
- Excellent analytical and data interpretative skills with the ability to articulate recommendations with clear messaging for Regions to execute and Maisons to endorse.
- Extraordinary collaborator, who proactively partners across teams, able to influence senior stakeholders
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate strategic Point of view and recommendations.
- High level of organization/project management capabilities with ability to work autonomously.
- Comfortable with large data sets and learning internal database systems (Anaplan, Sap, Iri…).
- Proven proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
- Solid time management skills and ability to work independently or within a large team.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail.
