Service Technician I

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for service, installation, and delivery/pick-up of our HVAC rental equipment. This includes interfacing with customers, providing support to customers that have our equipment on their sites, and working with our service teams.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Delivery and set-up of equipment at customer sites using company vehicles
• Cleaning and preventative maintenance of equipment
• Service and repair of equipment at customer sites
• Providing proper documentation for all tasks
• Demonstrate the proper start-up and shut down procedures for the equipment to customers
• You will be required to develop a higher degree of personal responsibility and independent working habits while installing, servicing, or transporting our customer’s temporary equipment
• Run flexible ductwork as required for temporary application
• Use appropriate PPE and fall protection as required
• When customer is done with equipment, pick-up equipment from customer location, noting what equipment was returned
• Do equipment reconditioning as per reconditioning work instructions for that type of equipment
• Perform any other duties assigned

Education/Skill Requirements:

• Minimum of two years similar experience preferred but not required
• Must have a high school degree, a 2-year HVAC certificate is preferred but not required
• Must have a mechanical aptitude
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record, able to pass a background check and DOT driving certificate (physical and drug testing)
• Ability to safely lift equipment or material of 50lbs
• Be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Be able to project a positive image when face to face with our customers
• Be able to communicate well with our customers and fellow employees
• Ability to work with a team and take direction
• Work 40 hours weekly
