Position Summary
You are a talented Game Artist with a passion for mobile game art. Through iteration, you will work closely with the Art Director and production team to establish the visual direction and ultimately the final in-game art for our mobile products. You will be responsible for conceiving and finishing high quality artwork ranging from stylized buttons and iconography to gorgeous 2D backgrounds.
As a visionary, you will utilize Adobe Suite to create all necessary 2D backgrounds, game elements and UI, with an emphasis on creating art that communicates the needed visual language for casual mobile games. You will report to the project Art Director.
Responsibilities
- Create impactful background environmental designs, prop designs, and UI such as buttons, frames, icons, etc.
- Create beautiful and attractive 2D artwork and/or illustrations aimed for a mobile game audience.
- Use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create original high-quality vector artwork or layered images that resonates with our customers.
- Utilize your excellent design skills, including the effective use of color, form, lighting, composition, and aesthetics to fulfill each project's needs.
- Create art style guide and placeholder artwork to guide development throughout each cycle of the project.
- Create joyful animated mockups.
- Create a wide range of art styles from whimsical to realistic.
- Work with task/bug tracking software such as Jira.
- Create documents to communicate to team the art vision.
Qualifications
- Prefer 3 -10 year of Mobile Game art creation experience.
- Able to provide samples of your Photoshop work.
- Able to provide samples of your Illustrator (vector) work.
- Able to provide samples of excellent artistic design skills such as: color, form, lighting, composition, and intuitive design.
