MobilizeGreen offers paid internships for current college students, graduate students, or recent graduates working in conservation and natural resources management. In partnership with the USDA Forest Service, MobilizeGreen is offering 26-52 week paid Resource Assistant internships across a variety of academic disciplines across the country, including in the following regions: Region 2, Region 3, Region 4, Region 5, and Region 6, starting February 2024 and June 2024.
The Resource Assistants Program is designed for recent graduates and new professionals to launch their natural and cultural resources careers. The RA will receive hands-on learning experience, mentorship, and coaching to complete mission-critical work while developing leadership, critical thinking, and strategic communication skills. This is a developmental program. The projects focus on one or more of the following career opportunities:
- Administrative Program Specialist
- Archaeology
- Botany
- Civil Engineering / Environmental Engineering
- Community Outreach and Engagement
- Engineering Technician
- Environmental Education
- GIS - Geographic Information System
- Natural Resources Management
- NEPA Planning
- Recreation Management
- Soil Science
- Special Uses / Permitting Management
- Visitor Services / Volunteer Management
- Wildlife Management
Resource Assistant internships include projects demanding critical thinking and real-world problem solving skills. As part of the program, interns should have clearly defined work procedures with required outcomes from the Forest Service.

Benefits:
- Weekly Stipend of $650 - $850 per week
- $1000 per month housing stipend
- Practical, hands-on learning experience in natural and cultural resource management careers.

- Eligibility for Direct Hire and Noncompetitive Hiring Eligibility authorities for 2 years after successful completion of the program.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (relevant to internship) within 0-3 years out of school.
- Strong writing and communication skills;
- Enthusiasm and a positive attitude;
- Ability to work independently and as a team player;
- Ability to pass relevant background check;
- Availability for 26, 32 or 52 weeks or longer;
- US Citizenship (program requirements); and
- Demonstrated interest natural/cultural resource management.
