Summary
The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager will be responsible for leading and promoting the EHS initiatives, developing internal safety policies and practices, ensuring that the sites remain in compliance with all applicable EHS laws and regulations, and providing leadership and guidance to Mobis' EHS Team members. This role will work for MOBIS North America electrified powertrain LLC (MNAe).

MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC (MNAe) is a Tier 1 supplier of BSA and PE systems, which are key parts to produce electric vehicles, based on state-of-art manufacturing technology related to battery system assembly.
Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
- Work jointly and collaboratively with Programs and corporate Risk Management to identify and eliminate EHS hazards and risks and reduce the related costs.
- Provide day-to-day advice on a range of environmental, workplace safety, and industrial health issues
- Utilize EHS and Risk Management databases and Microsoft applications to analyze data, identify trends, and prepare reports and presentations per OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 systems
- Review and develop internal safety policies and practices and ensure they are current and appropriate
- Conduct incident investigation to determine root cause and necessary corrective actions for sustainable results
- Develop and implement policies and practices to identify and mitigate hazardous conditions in the workplace
- Conduct hazard and risk assessments and make recommendations to amend safety policies and procedures
- Promote EHS awareness through continuous and timely EHS communications
- Develop and deliver training programs related to OSHA, EPA, Mobis standards, and customer requirements
- Administer incident investigation program to prevent recurrence of incidents and to ensure information on incidents is shared adequately across all programs
- Conduct audits of high-risk programs
- Actively participate in the scheduling of safety meetings across all Programs to review safety performance
- Provide written reports, as well as other EHS-related results and updates, to senior management as needed to inform the staff of critical issues
- Monitor and assist operations in the enforcement of EHS regulations
- Identify, share, and assist in communicating and institutionalizing EHS Best Practices
- Create schedules and manage overtime working hours for EHS Team Members

Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field, plus 5 years of experience in an EHS-related management or training role
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Leadership and Coaching ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
- Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems
- Knowledge of heavy industrial equipment
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Master's degree in occupational health & Safety / Environmental Health and Safety or related field
- Experience in automotive manufacturing environment
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Registered Environmental Manager (REM), or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification
Working Conditions: 30% office, 70% production floor; ability to traverse around production floor. If emergency occurs, may need to stay until issue is resolved
