Modco Media, a leader in digital media, is seeking a highly motivated Traditional Media Planning Supervisor.
Compensation: Competitive compensation of $90,000 to $110,000 depending on relevant experience
Location: 100% Remote opportunity with optional flexible workspaces across the United States. HQ in New York, NY.
Hours: 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM EST. Must be willing to work EST hours.

Traditional Media Planning Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Craft the strategy and create media plans across screens, spanning linear TV, OTT, addressable TV, and online video
- Be a capable and engaging presenter of cross-screen media plans, reporting, findings, and key learnings to clients
- Build and develop relationships with key client stakeholders and be dedicated to servicing our clients within the subject matter of linear/advanced TV
- Identify target audiences and understand their behavior and habits across screens
- Negotiate the most favorable rates with the TV networks and digital partners
- Attend upfronts/newfronts and maintain familiarity with programming. Advise clients on programming that aligns with their brand voice and goals
- Accurately manage client budgets and ensure that KPIs / goals are being attained
- Continually review and analyze screen mix to ensure it is achieving the client’s business goals
- Synthesize post campaigns studies from sources such as MMM, progressive cume analysis, and Kantar brand studies to provide insights and recommendations for increasing effectiveness
- Analyze competitors’ media activity and provide recommendations to clients
- Work with the content, data & analytics, and media teams on full-service planning & strategy, insights, audience development, and other parallel paths
- Be part of group brainstorming and team discussions, contributing your POV as an SME to a variety of cross-team engagements
Traditional Media Planning Supervisor Requirements:
- BSc/BA in Marketing or Business Administration or equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience in TV, Linear TV, OTT (streaming TV), and online video
- Experience with billing reconciliation, vendor negotiations, and putting together competitive decks ideal
- Strong track record of working with major consumer brands as a cross-screen integrated media planner and driving business outcomes
- Comfortable in a startup environment, building out a team, and scaling the agency infrastructure to serve major clients
- Strong ability to negotiate great deals with TV networks on behalf of clients, including discerning the value of OTT spots as forced bundles with linear spots
- Experience negotiating both upfront and scatter deals
- In-depth knowledge of Nielsen TV ratings
- Proficiency with tools such as Nielsen Media Impact, NPower, AdIntel, SQAD, and MRI
- Follow TV programming and ratings trends closely and are able to advise clients on the best programs to invest their TV dollars
- Experience with creating media plans that build reach and media weight against advanced audience targets in addition to traditional age/gender targets
- Bonus if you have experience placing mobile video campaigns in Gen Z dominated media such as TikTok, SnapChat, and Twitch
- Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills
- An analytical mind with an aptitude for statistics and math
- Team player, collaborator, supportive of others, open to new ideas, and ability to think outside the box (big picture thinking)
