What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer position at Models & Tools?
Ability to perform the following functions.
Essential Functions: (This document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying the position.)
1) When order is received
a. Verify that we have stock to fill order
b. Carriages may need to be modified
c. Pull all stock and stage it correctly
d. Cut appropriate rail (knowledge on how to run a saw)
e. Verify everything is correct and package
2) Ship product according to Sales order
3) Receive stock in and put it away
4) Daily machine maintenance
5) Keep up carriage stock room
a. Keep carriages stocked
b. Keep track of stock
6) Support other team members – This may include but not limited to
a. Cutting non hardened stock as needed
b. Cutting round shafting
c. Shipping / Receiving
d. Pulling stock
7) Keep area and shop clean
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· High School Graduate
· Must be fluent in reading a tape measure – Metric and English
· Understanding of Linear Shafting is a plus
Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The role routinely uses powered lift trucks, hand held power tools, measuring tape and standard office equipment. Position is on-site only work.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to odors, fumes, dust or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Proper PPE will be provided.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
