Modern Forge Indiana is a steel forging manufacturer seeking qualified candidates for our quality control department in our industrial manufacturing facility
This NDT Level II Fluorescent Penetration Inspector (FPI) position requires at least 1 year of work experience as an NDT FPI Level II and must be able to provide documentation for NDT Level II certification. This individual will be responsible for conducting Fluorescent Penetration Inspection (FPI) on product.
When not performing NDT/FPI this position will work alongside other final quality inspectors using various hand tools in our final inspection department and will be required to complete non-NDT quality inspections on products using micrometers, calipers, and gages.
Although this position requires certification, we do offer pay for learning and obtaining skills. This individual will eventually be expected to assist in training our new FPI inspectors for FPI certification. The more you learn, the more you earn.
Wet particle MAG inspection or machine operation experience would be a plus for this quality inspection position.
All qualified candidates will have to pass a background screen and drug test.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality inspections on finished products
- Perform testing procedures for FPI
- Use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to take precise measurements
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities
- Identify and report any non-conforming products or deviations from quality standards
Qualifications:
- Level II FPI NDT certification
- Proficient in using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills for identifying defects or deviations
- Previous experience in quality inspection or quality assurance required

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
