Sales Associate

Modern Hacienda is seeking a creative, driven and motivated Sales – Showroom Design Associate to join our team. The Sales – Showroom Design Associate will work alongside our showroom sales design team to assist customers and trade professionals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Actively work the showroom floor.

• Utilize knowledge of Color, Design and Space Planning to assist customers.

• Create customer sales quotes.

• Follow up with customers.
• Work with Warehouse Associate to ensure showroom is clean.

• Ensure all showroom items are priced and tags are visible

• Maintain showroom samples.

• Schedule and manage installations/delivery of showroom sales.

• Build relationships with Architects, Interior Designers and Builders in the area to

help drive sales from trade and retail customers.

• Research and make recommendations for new product offerings.

• Manage collateral marketing materials.

• Provide constant, clear communication throughout the week.
• Research new materials and products.
• Meet with Sales Representatives and participate in sample library maintenance.

Experience & Requirements:

• Expert organizational, time-management, and project management skills; ability to oversee multiple ongoing projects.
• A strong designer with an understanding of scale, color, proportion, and light and how these elements impact the success of an interior space.
• Someone who brings a passion for design and creativity, an understanding of the history of architecture and a love for authentic mid-century modern classic furniture.
• Highly organized, detail oriented and able to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
• Strong work ethic, can carry projects through to completion.
• Team player/positive attitude.
• MAC proficient.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture, or equivalent experience.
• A portfolio of interior design / interior architecture projects (class projects may be included)
• Must have access to a reliable car, valid California driver’s license, and insurance.
• Knowledge of Studio Designer a plus.

Pay: $18-$20 an hour plus commission
