The Role: Moderna is looking for a Manager of Maintenance to oversee the maintenance technician staff and will be responsible for execution of the day-to-day maintenance to maintain equipment and systems in an operational state compliant with regulatory requirements for a GMP environment. Demonstrates good safety practices at all times including the appropriate use of protective equipment. Reports and takes initiative to correct safety and environmental hazards. Responsible for supervision of maintenance staff and Facilities maintenance activities for 24/7 GMP operations. Prioritize and plan work activities for maintenance technicians; use time efficiently; develop realistic action plans as well as ensure technicians are adequately trained on site facility and systems they will be expected to work on and repair. Perform Facilities maintenance staff performance appraisals, training, coaching and mentoring. Ensure preventive maintenance work plans are current, accurate, written with sufficient detail, and executed Generate, revise and review cGMP documentation to ensure compliance to all applicable standards Support Quality Incident Investigations, CAPAs and ensure completion of assigned CAPAs completely on time. Drive proper cGMP documentation practices and data quality. Utilizes system to manage internal and external resources according to established workflows. Responsible for creating and sustaining a culture that ensures that compliance (Safety, Environment, cGMP, etc.) is an imperative for the business Organize, review, prioritize, and schedule daily Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance (PM) work. Efficiently coordinate the workflow and documentation of maintenance work. Scheduling and coordination of shutdowns to include preventative maintenance, projects, and facility modifications are completed compliantly. Establish all required preventive maintenance plans utilizing the Regulatory Asset Manager (RAM) System. Supervise assets maintenance and spare part usage for manufacturing equipment and make changes to improve cost and efficiency. Work closely with other cross functional support groups Monitor and report equipment performance and efficiency data and identify any trending. Using data analysis, troubleshoot and determine root cause of equipment failures and develop solutions to prevent future failures. Provide long term solutions and day-to-day support to all operating teams having issues with troubleshooting, problem analysis, equipment failures, etc. Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table: Minimum AA/AS/AAS degree or equivalent industrial, military with Minimum of twelve (12) year experience in pharmaceutical industry supervising maintenance Preferred BS degree with ten (10) years experience Extensive knowledge of utility and facility equipment such as autoclaves, washers, formulation, vial/syringes lines, inspection and label/packaging equipment, HVAC air handlers, refrigeration, cold rooms, freeze dryers, steam, chillers, cooling tower, pumps & drives, WFI, RODI, waste and emergency generators. Have working knowledge of hazardous chemicals and their disposal, OSHA, EPA, and FDA requirements. In-depth knowledge of cGMPs as they relate to facilities maintenance to ensure processes and facilities are compliant and changes are consistent with necessary controls. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, RAM, Working Knowledge of cGMP for pharmaceutical manufacturing. Self-motivated with a drive for excellence Able to inspire and motivate the staff Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills Honesty, integrity, respect and courtesy with all colleagues Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, teamwork, and change management. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Read electrical schematics and single line diagrams. Must be able to work in a clean room/ISO environment. Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team-based environment. Must be organized and detail focused. Knowledge of chemical and biological safety Under supervision, able to organize and present technical and project management plans, schedules and budgets.
