MOHELA is a not-for-profit student loan servicer with about 1.8 million borrowers, $38 billion worth loans in combined portfolios owned by federal government, special entities, and itself. We are a contracted servicer with the Department of Education. We currently have around 340 employees and we are conveniently headquartered in Chesterfield valley, with an operation center in Columbia, Missouri, and an office in Washington, DC . We have been actively providing financial support and other support to Missouri's higher education programs for more than 40 years.

What You Will Be Doing
Responsible for analyzing application needs/problems and providing solutions for the organization. This includes working with all areas of MOHELA to provide solutions needed through application development to help accomplish the organization’s objectives. Able to lead complex development efforts, fulfill role as subject matter expert for core functions and provide mentoring to team members.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
MOHELA offers a comprehensive medical plan that includes prescription coverage for employees and their dependents. EARNED TIME OFF
And the clock starts now! Time off begins to build when your employment starts. We observe 6 holidays a year: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. We also offer 4 Personal Holidays for you to use! You will receive at least 22 days of available time off in Personal Time Off (PTO) and Vacation benefits. The days roll over from year to year, if unused. Family is very important to MOHELA. Birth and adoption time off benefits are also available to employees.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT
One of MOHELA’s core values is education. We support helping our employees and their dependents reach their educational goals. After 3 months of employment, you can qualify for up to $12,000 per calendar year in tuition reimbursement.
401(k) MATCH UP TO 8%
After you complete six months of service, MOHELA will match each dollar you contribute up to the first 8% of your salary. You can contribute up to 50% of your annual salary. It’s simple to contribute through payroll deduction. This benefit is in addition to the Pension Plan!

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- .NET architect - This position requires prior experience of the .NET architect. Should be able design software systems with various Microsoft technologies. Should be able to review infrastructure for any issues and recommend solutions. Monitor application architecture and ensure appropriate implementation of all solutions. Should have experience in Web Form as well as MVC.
- AWS Application Development - Should have experience in development, support and maintenance of solution in the AWS cloud environment. Fluency with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) is a must. On the AWS platform services such as Amazon Lambda, Auto Scaling, Elastic Load Balancing, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Amazon Elastic Container Services is desirable.
- SQL Development – Must have experience in develop, test, and maintain SQL queries, and stored procedures. Should be able to design and implement solutions that scale to meet business needs. Experience in performance tuning, SSRS and SSIS preferred.
- Application Design, Development, Maintenance and Troubleshooting - Insure standard development methods and procedures are employed and time commitments are achieved. Prepare project plans, schedule work assignments and delegate authority. Insure development of documentation for programs and systems in a clear, complete and concise manner. Must do code review and assist in systems implementation and testing. Coordinate technical and business help to users in the resolution of systems problems and inquires.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in requirement analysis, design, development, and testing of web-based systems using different .net technology
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
