What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Manager position at Molloy College?
GENERAL PURPOSE
Facilitate and mange all BFA program related productions and projects by creating schedules, managing budgets, tracking spending, sourcing materials and hiring support staff. Facilitating all communication between students, staff, creative teams, and stag managers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage production budgets, including the allocation and distribution of funds and the reconciliation of budgets at the close out of each production. Build, manage, and communicate production schedules with staff, creative teams, and students.
- Secure and supervise create teams, stage managers, designers, and work study students.
- Facilitate all production needs by supporting and advising creative teams, staffing, and overseeing entire rehearsal and tech process. Source, gather, and distribute all production related needs.
- Enforce all policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations regarding productions.
- Maintain all production equipment - lighting, sound, props, instruments - and keeping an accurate inventory of such items.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree (BFA Theatre or Theatre Administration, Professional Production Experience)
- 3-5 years experience
- Microsoft (Office, Excel, Word, Outlook)
