The Staffing Coordinator for the Nursing Department will be responsible for the design and implementation of staffing patterns for professional and nonprofessional nursing employees including at the intermediate and residential care levels.
Responsibilities Include:
· Establishes staffing patterns and schedules for nurses and nursing assistants.
· Works with human resources to advise them of staffing needs, terminations, and other information necessary for the smooth flow of work regarding employees.
· Helps ensure facility is properly staffed at all times, including being on-call as needed
· Participates in in-service training.
· Assists in securing staff for absences, leaves, etc., adjusting schedules as required.
· Maintains records on vacations, sick leave, leaves of absence, holidays, excused and unexcused absences, and recommends appropriate action.
· Assists in administering the facility policies related to staffing
· Works with the Nursing Leadership to schedule training classes as needed
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Good typing and mathematics skills.
· Versed in interview techniques.
· Must possess sensitivity in understanding employees' needs while maintaining a sense of balance to ensure that staffing requirements are met for the facility.
Education and Experience:
· High school education or GED equivalent required with college-level training preferred.
· Staffing experience in a Nursing Home setting required- minimum of 1 year
Salary : $18 - $22
