A Day in the Life of a Benefits Coordinator:
  • Review and analyze cost, utilization, and demographic data
  • Update benefits spreadsheets and summaries as needed to ensure benefit plan system and documentation integrity
  • Research and resolve benefit questions and problems of benefit plan participants
  • Participate in benefit plan compliance reviews
  • Collaborate with other staff to administer both insured and self-insured employee benefits programs – knowledge of group health, FSA, dental, vision, childcare, education, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(K), pension, physical wellbeing, wellness and other benefits
Requirements of a Benefits Coordinator:
  • Strong professionalism – ability to maintain strict confidentiality of employee information
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, insurance, mathematics, HR, BA or related field
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English
  • CEBS Certification
  • Experience with Excel Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, the ability to handle large data sheets
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines
