As a strategic business partner, this position manages and leads the local Quality Assurance and
Process Improvement activities at the Mondi Romeoville Inc. facility. The primary mission is to guarantee that only the highest quality products are delivered to the customer. They represent the voice of the customer within the local manufacturing plant.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Manage external and internal quality issues.
· Daily supervision of all quality-related activities.
· Lead the facility in implementing Safe Quality Food/to place Quality at the heart of the Organization.
· Manage the Continuous Improvement program and processes.
· Manages Customer complaints and providing a root cause analysis.
· Calibrates, control and maintenance of measurement and test equipment.
· SQF practitioner and HACCP coordinator.
· Oversees the development, implementation review and maintenance of the SQF system, including food safety fundamentals, and the food safety plan.
· The SQF practitioner shall take appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the SQF system.
· The SQF practitioner shall communicate to relevant personnel all information essential to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the SQF system.
· Maintain adherence of Safe Quality Food.
· Responsible for productivity, waste and product quality improvement projects
· SQF practitioner.
· Oversee the development, implementation review and maintenance of the SQF system, including food safety fundamentals, and the food safety plan.
· Disposition of all materials (raw, in-process, customer returns) on quality hold.
· Manage customer returns and credits and lead the corrective action process.
· Communicate with customers and company management on complaints and project activity.
· Present, train and lead groups as part of the process improvement events.
· Do reclaim that is generated on the shift.
· Train, motivate, and mentor employees (both new and existing employees).
· Enforce Company policies, quality procedures, and Good Manufacturing Polices (GMPs) by ensuring employees understand and follow rules, address non-compliance on the shift in which it occurs, and document issues for further action.
· Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent and applicable work-related experience.
· 3-5 years supervisory experience in Manufacturing or Quality required.
· Previous Continuous Improvement/Lean/Six Sigma management or other relevant continuous improvement methods preferred.
· SQF certification required
· Must complete and pass the HACCP course and have SQF practitioner training.
· Must be able to investigate, analyze and present findings.
· Familiarity with inspection tools, equipment and quality testing.
· Ability to work independently or as a participative team player and be self-directed to complete all assigned duties.
· Must have worked with quality systems and food safety Certification.
· SAP and ADP knowledge preferred.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
