- Conduct internal audits for petty cash boxes (C&I area and Business Office vault).
- Reconcile bank statements, as assigned.
- Manage building use rental.
- Responsible for the following for the Food Service program:
- Food service point of sale system, including annual maintenance of student accounts
- Daily lunch and breakfast reconciliation including online deposits
- Direct certification
- Monthly State reimbursement process
- Public yearly notices in newspaper and district website
- Assist with the food service contract bid, when necessary
- Annual student balance review
- Eligibility of benefits process, including with MSA client
- Attend Nutrition Program training and document with Food Service Director
- Maintain liability insurance and file claims.
- Research and process property transfer requests.
- Assist with online payment system and processes for MySchoolBucks.
- Complete taxable value information for Board of Education and municipalities.
- Maintain an Excel spreadsheet to record and balance property taxes, including delinquent taxes, industrial facility taxes, brownfields, etc.
- Maintain budget spreadsheets including confidential information on projections, salary and fringe benefits.
- Assist in the processing of payroll, including collecting timesheets and aggregating time for building and grounds and transportation departments.
- Assist in child account audits as needed or requested.
- Assist with Business Office records retention schedule.
- Prepare applicable audit schedules and reports.
- Maintain copy machines, fax machines and other office equipment.
- Responsible for updating IRTC receipt spreadsheet after receipting revenue.
- Generate accounts receivable invoices.
- Maintain credit card expense documentation and use reports for monthly statement balancing.
- Complete payroll for Business Office.
- Process purchase orders for the district and assist with purchasing processes and vendors.
- Assist in preparing and publishing bids.
- Willingness to adjust hours to be available for meetings, activities, absences and special projects.
- Maintain regular, predictable attendance.

- Carry out all other responsibilities as assigned.
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree, required, emphasis in Accounting, Business Administration or related field, preferred.
- Prior to hire must successfully pass Microsoft Office Suite BasicTest (Word, Excel).
- Prior to hire must successfully pass writing and math test.
- Within probationary period must successfully pass a higher-level Microsoft Office Suite test.
- Minimum of two (2) years secretarial experience in office setting and/or school setting, preferred.
- Experience with Powerschool eFinancePLUS and related modules.
- Experience with Heartland POS Mosaic, MySchoolBucks, and related modules.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated math and accounting proficiency (testing may be required).
- Excellent organization skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to a variety of tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, confidentiality, and customer service orientation.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent for Business Services
AVAILABLE: Full year full-time position available August 29, 2022; Eight hours per day (includes 1/2 hour unpaid lunch) 7:45 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. Monday - Friday
SALARY & BENEFITS: $18.87 per hour, (Secretary A) as specified in the MEA-ESPA Agreement wage schedule. Single benefits as specified in the MEA-ESPA Agreement.
PROBATION PERIOD: Ninety (90) working day probationary period.
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
