The NPD Specialist will provide support to NPD team on essential functions to ensure timely delivery on projects with an emphasis on coordinating the product and raw material sample traffic. Corrosion testing program, and various supply chain documentation. The role will assist the Department leaders to maintain and organize the NPD SharePoint site and various other data bases as it related to technical documentation.
Essential Job Functions:
Coordinate beverage sample request for domestic and international shipping to support both product registration and Innovation commercialization:
MEC office shipment of commercial product samples.
Setting up samples for tasting, recording data, and communicating results to QC as part of product release.
Support tasting sessions with flavor house samples for sensory approval and maintained records.
Handle Purchase orders and invoices on behalf of the department
Assist Technical Project Manager to coordinate office tasting sessions.
Coordinate beverage sample request for domestic and international shipping:
Manage global corrosion testing program
Request samples from flavor house sent to can companies for corrosion testing.
Maintain guarantee letters and email communication.
Escalate issues to the appropriate project manager
Manage document support for on going export business
Manage Free sale certificates program with the State of California
Generate Certificate of Analysis of MEC samples for LATAM region
Assist with in house Sensory evaluations as needed
Coordinate head quarter office tasting sessions by requesting samples, organize meeting time and conference room, serve samples.
Miscellaneous department support
Assist with other shipping request for documents, product labels, etc.
Maintenance of various data bases and Share point sites on behalf of the company
Assist Executive Assistant & NPD team with other essential functions.
Take initiative on requests and inquiries of an administrative nature.
Handle sensitive matters with a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
Position Requirements:
3-5 years’ experience of working in administration or office management a must.
Highly organized, mature, meticulous with a great attention to detail.
Ability to work independently.
Strong organization skills.
Having sense of urgency, ability to multitask, and being able to interact with team members.
Able to see what is relevant, prioritize and ask the right questions.
Spanish is a plus.
Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Team, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint and Word are required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with special attention to spelling and grammar.
