POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary role of this position is to provide support to the maintenance management and personnel to facilitate efficient operation of the department, by performing a wide variety of clerical functions. In addition to typing, filing, and scheduling; performs duties such as record keeping, coordination of meetings and conferences, purchasing supplies, parts, and materials inventory, receiving, work orders, time sheets, and attendance tracking.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete and file requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and inventory or distribute items.
- Monitors and evaluates PM task schedules and updates equipment board.
- Maintain parts and materials inventory and receiving.
- Maintain and update equipment files.
- Responsible for routing departmental mail, screen departmental calls, take messages, and schedule contractor appointments.
- Record and tabulate job allocations.
- Record attendance, vacation and sick day departmental calendar.
- Gathers, maintains and reports utility readings.
- Organize, update, and track facility maintenance department work orders, including issuance, status, and completions, both manually and electronically, and distributes to maintenance department personnel.
- Observe and practice safety procedures and housekeeping at all times, including
Lock Out Tag Out. Maintain accident records. Attend safety meetings. Be safety conscious.
- Correct or notify supervisor of safety hazards. In the event of an accident, notify
supervisor immediately. Attend Safety Meetings.
- Inventory and purchase maintenance office supplies. Support management with projects. Facility maintenance duties as assigned. Organize and maintain a neat orderly work environment at all times.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and practice in Industrial Electricity with the ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
Basic knowledge in fabrication, utilities, and general maintenance
Able to operate a forklift, and other equipment
Know safety requirements of Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO)
Valid State of Texas Driver’s License with clean driving record
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Minimum of three years office experience with a background in maintenance
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Desired:
- Type 60 WPM
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in Google Suite
