Medical Assistant should provide quality patient care in a prompt and professional manner; assists in delivery of patient education; responsible for communication of patient information to and from physician; assumes various job tasks as assigned. Responsible for direct, individualized, goal directed patient care under the supervision of Physician.
- High School Graduate or equivalent require
- Medical training through a certificate program or at least 2 years experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting, (Ex: clinical lab, physician's office, Emergency Medical Tech., etc.).
- Medical Training: LPN, Lab, Radiology, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or Physician Office.
- Knowledge of the following equipment: Glucometer, PT INR machine, wheel chair, and thermometers.
- Knowledge of the following test: urinalysis and EKG.
- Organizational skills.
- Oral and written communication and computer skills.
- Customer services skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
- Ability to show proficiency by passing all written and clinical test.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of position.
