What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator/Assembler position at Moore Industries, Inc.?
The Sonic Welder Operator is responsible for using the welding machine to weld WIP products within specified rate while inspecting for quality defects and using a forklift to move product as required.
Job Requirements:
- Set up the weld area via forklift with the necessary components
- Operate welding machines to meet daily production goals
- Consistently inspect WIP product for quality prior to loading the welder
- Consistently inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, and immediately report any discrepancies to the supervisor or quality controller
- Enter data pertaining to job progress on Production Reports or other documentation as required - requires ability to count, record, and use calculator
- Perform the required weld strength test, gaging, and SPC checks per the customer requirements
- Perform the required quality checks and documentation as required on the inspection sheet
- Trims excess material from part using box cutters and trimmers
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition according to company standards
