The scope of the Quality Management System encompasses the overall order to ship process. The QMS Supervisor works under the supervision of the Quality Manager and provides leadership to the organization, to ensure the QMS is maintained and improved, in accordance with good lean and continuous improvement practices. The QMS Supervisor partners with the organization to improve the understanding of good QMS principles so that the journey towards a culture of quality and customer centricity, continues. This role routinely collaborates with other sites to assist with their QMS as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain all aspects of the QMS, including site certification to ISO 9001 standards. Function as the primary contact for QMS related issues

Monitor corrective actions for effectiveness and follow-up corrective actions until closed

Schedule and manage internal audits and serve as main point of contact for external audits

Maintain document control and change control processes

Coordinate with all departments to ensure corrective actions are captured within the system and completed in a timely manner

Ensure 3rd party certifications of the QMS are maintained

Identify and implement opportunities to improve the QMS

Support and assist in implementation of global best practices

Monitor and maintain calibration system

Manage nonconformities discovered through audits by working with process owners to correct, as needed, and enter data into Global systems

Keep ISO webpage current

Ensure employees are trained on various aspects of ISO and QMS principles, as needed

Ensure process owners are training all employees to work standards and training records are current and in place

Assist areas (customer service, marketing, manufacturing, shipping, etc.) as needed
- Provides training, development and mentorship to peers and direct reports.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or 4 years experience managing a certified QMS for a facility
- 2 years quality related experience

Previous experience working within manufacturing

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Power Point
Preferred Qualifications:

Automotive quality systems and ISO/TS 16949 knowledge and experience a plus
