What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduling Assistant position at Morgan & Morgan, P.A.?
Summary
This role will work closely with a Lead Attorney on work pertaining to scheduling client’s needs pertaining to active cases in our Workers Compensation Department. This is an entry level position with much opportunity for learning and growth within the firm. Successful candidates will be responsible for areas including but not limited to the following.
Responsibilities
- Heavy scheduling of mediation and depositions.
- Sending and tracking letters to clients.
- Organizing notices and letters for depositions and/or mediations.
- Calling clients to confirm appointments.
- Perform general administrative office duties as needed
- Assist with other tasks as requested by the attorney or case staff.
Qualification
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant preferably in a law firm setting or in a corporate legal department
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a great attitude and minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation skills
- Extensive expertise in computer programs, databases, Microsoft Office Suite, and type no less than 35 wpm
