What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Moriah Health?
SUMMARY: The Controller will handle high-level and detailed managerial accounting activities. This key member of the Finance Department will contribute to all aspects of accounting functions under the direction of the Treasurer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares financial statements and related reports including but not limited to balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow statements.
- Supervises monthly balancing of books and monthly account reviews; prepares monthly financial statements.
- Manages all accounting functions including but not limited to accounts receivable ,accounts payable, payroll, and purchasing.
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable and receivable data.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of banks and financing entities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or in Finance or Accounting. CPA preferred.
- Three to five years financial accounting experience is preferred.
