We are looking for the experienced Paint Assistant Manager who oversees both interior and exterior paint line to ensure Company and customer expectations and requirements are met. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing paint associates, team leaders and technicians which focus on associates in areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.Essential Job Functions: Manage department to ensure all production, quality, safety, and customer requirements are being met
Oversee troubleshooting of any department or production issues and maintaining of the process.Plan production demand, maintain KPI on the process. Develop and schedule improvement plans/continuous improvement.
Plan and establish workflow schedules to ensure effective utilization of manpower to maximize efficienciesProvide guidance, direction, and support to team leaders; mentor team leaders with the goal of increasing their knowledge and improving their leadership skills and abilities
Prepare and control departmental budgets; plan effective strategies for addressing needs, eliminating inefficiencies, managing inventory, and controlling labor. Must attend production and management meetings daily/weekly/monthly and effectively report on department status and KPI’s
Participate in managing and resolving customer concerns related to quality and delivery daily through quick resolution and effective countermeasures.Effectively communicate with support departments (IT, Quality, HR, Maintenance, etc.) to facilitate coordination and cooperation across all areas of support.Communicate all solutions through change point control process and confirm countermeasures through physical confirmation.
Work to maintain the culture of internal supplier/customer relationship with other processes and production departments.
May perform other relevant duties as determined by managementExperience, Knowledge, and Skills:
Must have three years of previous experience in similar role in manufacturing environment.Automotive supplier or manufacturing experience a plus.
Must be quality orientated with strong attention to detailDemonstrated ability of continuous improvement
Strong analytical ability for identifying problems and executing solutionsDemonstrated Leadership skills with proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate othersStrong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
