Catering Lead Wait Staff

Morningstar Living is currently hiring a Catering Lead for our Moravian Hall Square Campus in Nazareth, PA. This opportunity is Part-Time Days with variable shift hours.

The Catering Lead Wait Staff member is responsible for the courteous, efficient, and accurate service of meals to Residents, resident guests, and all guests of Morningstar Living. Duties include, but are not limited to, organizing special events from start to finish and following proper service techniques during service. The Special Affairs Wait Staff members are also responsible for performing assigned set-up and clean-up tasks, possessing a clear perception of the table dynamics in his/her servicing area and can anticipate the needs of customers to uphold a pleasant dining atmosphere.

What will I do in this role?

• Will assist with planning and execute events for Moravian Hall Square and Heritage Village, including events for Sales/Marketing, Administration, as well as other events within Morningstar Living.
• Assure proper preparation of tables
• Attend pre-meal meeting
• Understand menu items and specials
• Provide quality service equally to all residents and their guests
• Report any problems or concerns to the Retail Manager
• Transport soiled dishes and linens to proper areas
• Perform assigned clean-up and sanitation of work areas after each meal

• Demonstrate dependability with scheduled work hours.
• Courteous and cooperative attitude and ability to interact with residents and other staff members.
• Complete knowledge of menus and daily specials.
• Must possess exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate and interact with residents, supervisors, and staff from all departments.
• Accepts ownership of catered events ranging from Coffee setups to luncheons, from start to finish.
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team
• A keen eye for detail to see an event/table/decorations through the eye of a customer
• Possesses a flair for creativity and enjoys using it to enhance the customer experience
