Objectives of this Role
- Generate new business opportunities in our Employee Benefits program serving as a trusted advisor
- Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with clients and community members
- Act as part of a dynamic and collaborative team
- Manage the full cycle of the sales process while working closely with the Practice Leader and Sales Director developing marketing plans in assigned territories
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Qualify, develop, and maintain deep company and product knowledge
- Continual education on laws and regulations associated with the employee benefits market and administration including Affordable Care Act
- Generate leads and grow existing relationships
- Maintain an accurate, detailed client book
- Develop an active, repeat customer base
- Make cold calls or perform warm outreach, putting outside-the-box thinking to work to develop new and unique sales tactics
- Work with the Sales team to design industry-specific outbound efforts
- Utilize Salesforce.com tool to ensure standard processes during all sales stages
- Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
- Expand professional skill sets by attending regular workshops, networking events, and professional organizations
- Presenting renewal proposals to existing clients
- Present renewal proposals to existing clients and deliver open enrollment presentations
- Advise clients on the changing landscape of the benefits environment and develop unique client business strategies
Qualifications
- Life and Health license
- 2-3 years of inside or outside sales experience
- Ability to negotiate with executive-level individuals
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the Employee Benefits insurance market
- Basic proficiency in software applications commonly used in a digital work environment as well as the ability to learn new applications
Salary : $60,000 - $120,000
