Morrison Hershfield's Building Science Group provides planning, design and construction administration services for a vast array of building types and uses. We are currently seeking a technical lead for our Building Sciences team in our San Francisco office. The successful individual would play a lead role in the delivery of new construction projects and in managing opportunities from the proposal stage through to project completion. Due to expanding business opportunities in San Francisco, this position offers potential for growth in the areas of technical leadership and management. Responsibilities: Analyzes business risks and provide solutions Workforce and resource management Assists project managers and other staff in their professional development Monitors and manages work in progress Provides guidance to staff on project work and management Business development and assistance with marketing initiatives Ensures company's quality management systems are implemented and followed Qualifications: Education in Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Science or related field. (Willing to accept foreign education equivalent) 10 years of work experience in the Building Science, Waterproofing or Façade fields Minimum 5 years of work experience in project management Knowledge in areas related to building science such as mechanical engineering and/or building structures an asset Strong business acumen and vision Understanding of organizations priorities and ability to make trade-off decisions Exceptional attention to detail, specifically in accuracy of calculations and completeness of data Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a strong customer service commitment Proficiency with MS Office.
