PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Plans organizes, and directs operators based on the project and state and federal requirements.
High quality, professional work product performed with initiative, productivity, a positive attitude and behavior. Performance should meet or exceed the established standards, goals, and accountabilities of the position.
The base compensation range for this role is $37-42 per hour. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skill, and experience with consideration given to internal equity.

A. Operate the following equipment based on the requirements of the project:

2. Dozer

4. Scraper
5. Excavator
6. Bobcat/Skid-steer
7. Roller
8. Water truck
9. Company truck
- Follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Understands and adheres to Mortenson live utility protocols
- Ensure that all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area
- Oversee routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling and cleaning
- Observes equipment operation to detect machine malfunction
- Follows work plans and pre-task cards
- Establish and adjust work sequences to meet schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel
- Involved in schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job
- Analyze and resolve work problems
- Ensure crew timecards are filled out and turned in
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
- Supervision and coordination of operators

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Equipment certifications as required
- A minimum of five years of related experience
- Must possess valid driver's license of proper class and necessary endorsements as required by law
- Demonstrate understanding of soil classification and basic excavation/trench safety
