Are you our next Process Control Engineer? The Senior Process Control Engineer is part of the central potash Process Engineering Team and supports all Mosaic potash sites in developing, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing basic and advanced regulatory controls. The Process Controls Engineer will work alongside process engineers, automation coordinators and specialists, and site instrumentation personnel to ensure optimum performance of various control systems. This role will also support Mosaic's NextGen activities at potash sites and work with process controls engineers from other Mosaic business units to ensure standardization and shared best practices. What will you do? Support existing industrial controls systems, including programming of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and Human Machine Interfaces/Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (HMI/SCADA) systems. Design and implement new automation strategies for continuous and batch processes. Develop and review process controls specifications and control narratives for in plant improvements and capital projects. Analyze and tune process control loops, develop interlocks and permissive. Develop and debug function block diagrams, ladder logic and/or structured text programming language. Support the development of the process controls program by educating personnel about process controls and advocating for future system improvements. Become a key stake holder in monitoring alarm health and supporting the alarm management strategy across all potash sites. Our Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following: Bachelor or master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering 8 years' experience in an industrial processing environment. Must be familiar with basic and advanced regulatory control strategies. Must have a working familiarity with both PLC and DCS control systems as well as industry standard alarm management practices. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a collaborative team with all levels of the organization. Strong verbal, written, listening and presentation communication skills. Results driven and strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
