Head Housekeeper

Job Summary:
Motel 6 is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team. The Head Housekeeper will be responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are clean, well-maintained, and meet the highest standards of hygiene. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to guest satisfaction, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations, including cleaning schedules, staff assignments, and quality control.
• Train, supervise, and motivate housekeeping staff to ensure efficiency and high standards.
• Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance.
• Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies and linens.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff to address any repair or maintenance issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns, providing excellent customer service.
• Maintain a positive and professional work environment for the housekeeping team.
• Monitor and report on housekeeping performance, including productivity and quality metrics.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management is a plus.
• Proven experience as a housekeeper, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects when necessary.
