The Opportunity:

As a HR and Culture Manager, you will be:

  • Responsible for concepting, defining and implementing innovative programs that set Motive apart, drive employee engagement and overall retention
  • Supporting overall human resource and talent management execution; focused on retention initiatives, training, employee recognition and wellness programs
  • Leading company benefits training and administration - including evaluating and consistently working to improve upon existing offerings. Benefits plans are ultimately defined by the parent company, but the role will frequently work alongside the global HR team.
  • Leading employee orientation and onboarding programs across the organization in partnership with the Talent Management team
  • Partnering with the talent team to build internal DE&I programs
  • Overseeing the performance review process ensuring all managers are completing performance reviews in a timely manner, and processing related compensation changes as needed
  • Leading company culture programs that drive employee connection from introduction to execution, ensuring they align with business strategy
  • Managing budgets related to areas of involvement
  • Managing database updates as employee information changes
  • Regularly ensuring the team is aware of labor law changes at the state and federal levels, and leading any necessary changes
  • Liaising with parent and sister companies as required
  • Supporting recruitment efforts as needed across offices

About you:

Experience: You’ve got at least 5+ years of human resources experience and/or other relevant talent management, preferably with a background at an advertising agency and a basic understanding of creative work. You have experience working across multiple projects at once and meeting deadlines. You have experience working Google Suite. Knowledge of Workday and/or Greenhouse ATS is a plus.

Flexible and Adaptable: You don’t have an ego and you are willing to jump in and help others no matter the task or level.

Ethics and Integrity: You approach all work ethically and honestly. You do the right thing, even when it’s hard taking responsibility and being accountable for actions and apply these standards to those around you.

Judgment: You practice good judgment in decision making. You understand when you need to use your personal judgment in order to make decisions that fall within your area of responsibility. Your ability to make “good” judgments are based on your understanding of the context of a situation and on your consistency in up-holding your and the agency’s professional values. You have demonstrated fairness and empathy in your decisions.

Creative Problem Solver: You are comfortable assessing a problem using all resources at your disposal (internal and external data, qualitative and quantitative research, etc) and presenting a solution that can creatively and directly address it. You think outside the box and challenge yourself and do more than the status quo.

Self Starter: You’re excited to learn new skills and raise your hand for new projects. When you know the next step for a project, you run with it and are able to deliver before you’re asked. You keep yourself and the team up to date on new industry trends, and know how to translate those learnings into potential proactive initiatives. You are resourceful and can work independently, but function productively within a team setting.

Excellent Communicator: You know how to communicate factually without losing your voice. You can humanize complex ideas like benefits and make traditionally boring subject matter exciting and fun. You communicate with empathy, compassion and professionalism and know how to listen first. You present yourself in any communication as positive, engaged, and supportive

Organization and Thoroughness: You’re able to manage your time working on multiple projects while staying organized and maintaining a high quality of your deliverables. You’re detail-oriented and don’t miss deadlines, but if you know you will, you’re able to communicate that to your team and provide alternative solutions.
