Job Summary
Assess tuition and fees each semester in coordination with TBR, program directors, bookstore. Oversight of Purge process, student communications, setting payment deadlines, set refund periods, and de-registration of students for nonpayment.
Job Duties
- Develops and implements controls, coordination of processes and procedures, and special reports as required and for annual fiscal year end.
- Provides vision and leadership for developing and implementing initiatives for Student Accounts. Interfaces with TBR and other TBR College staff on information for best practice and to ensure College compliance with TBR guidelines and policies.
- Supervise the cashier function of the college, including collection of accounts receivable. Assign tasks, train, and review performance of four full time employees at two college locations. Reconcile and monitor student accounts in coordination with finance as well as for student tuition and fees, third party contracts/scholarships, and miscellaneous receivables.
- Update and maintain publication and webpage information for tuition/fees and other cashier/business office processes.
- Process 1098T tax forms to students and the IRS.
- Monitor control settings, safeguard, and coordinate upgrading and management of the college's cashiering software, Touchnet and Workforce and Community Services cashiering software, Xenegrade.
- Verify feeds from cashiering software packages are received in Banner system and deposits and reconciliations are performed accurately and timely.
- Ensure all college receipt functions are compliant with TBR, RSCC and Payment Card Industry-Data Security Standards regulations.
- Train new cashiers in PCI compliance and provide annual training.
Minimum Qualifications
Three to five years' work experience in a customer service-related position.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
Preferred working knowledge of Banner Student AR, Argos, Automic, TouchNet Cashiering, TouchNet Bill Payment Suite (including eRefunds), TouchNet Payment Gateway, Xenegrade, Acrobat, and Microsoft Office software.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Good management and leadership skills, able to collaborate effectively with multiple offices, business knowledge, able to deal with sensitive issues, communication skills, problem solving, organized, and detail oriented.
People skills, technical skills, in-depth knowledge of higher education systems and procedures.
