Department OverviewThe International Software Sales team is a group within Motorola Solutions, Inc. that provides industry leading, next generation Emergency Call Handling, Next Generation Core Services, Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management, and other software applications to the Public Safety and Public Service markets. No other company has the breadth and depth of technology and experience to deliver end to end public safety applications and mission critical voice and data communications systems.Job DescriptionWhat we are looking for:
We are seeking a top-performing, technical sales professional who understands the unique approach to selling our company's public safety software solutions to prospective customers in Latin America and the Caribbean (LACR), while developing and maintaining excellent customer/client relationships. This sales professional will be responsible for selling Motorola's industry-leading 9-1-1 / 1-1-2, next generation core services, computer aided dispatch, records management, evidence management, analytics, and situational awareness solutions to new customers. This is a hunter role, assigned to capture new business in LACR. This role will be assigned to work with cities, counties and countries within the territory to proactively influence well in advance of any formal project.
What you will do:
Drive customer relationships via phone contact, personal visits, trade show attendance, onsite discovery, software demonstrations, oral presentations, and through attending regional user group meetings
Pursue selling opportunities include on-site product presentations, internet demonstrations, and coordinating with state and local officials on individual and multi-jurisdictional projects
Ability to obtain a thorough understanding of local government procurement processes in multiple Latin American
This position is to be supporting the following region: Latin America & Caribbean
Typical travel is moderate to high with being in territory (in front of the customer) 50-65%
Top sales performers are compensated aggressively with accelerators upon achieving annual sales quota
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of public safety sales experience or 8 years of sales/public safety experience
Sales experience in a technical field, computer software industry, or government sales preferred
Experience selling CAD or 9-1-1 Software is required
Experience developing a new territory or region is preferred
Experience selling to multiple levels, project stakeholders, and committees is a plus
Experience with large ticket solutions having long sales cycles
Ability to articulate and sell complex software solutions
Familiar with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) upkeep, management, forecasting, and maintenance of sales pipeline activities
The ability to communicate with different customer bases in both Spanish and English

Consistently proactive toward lead/opportunity qualification and development processes
Excellent communication skills and time management skills are critical
Demonstrated problem-solving and negotiating skills
Consultative and relationship-based sales qualities when engaging with prospective customers
Familiarity with working in an overlay sales environment is helpful
Ability to continually qualify strength and viability of opportunities throughout dynamic sales process
Entrepreneurial experience and "builder" attitude a plus

Highly driven and self-motivated
This role has the ability sit remote, but needs the ability to easily and affordably access the LACR market
This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers
