Although this position participates in Executive Cabinet (EC) meetings, it does not carry EC rank/status.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and demonstrated experience performing the full range of duties contained in this job description.
- One (1) year work experience interacting with elected public officials in a role similar to that of this position.
- Excellent organizing skills, including the ability to multi-task simultaneously with conflicting deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Integrity and sound judgment in handling confidential information. Highest levels of confidentiality and tact required.
- Computer and technological skills to include a good working knowledge of current versions of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, video editing software and communications (email) software (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Zoom).
- Must be sensitive to the needs of a comprehensive community college and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Must be politically astute and sensitive to diverse community groups and individuals.
- One or more years of higher education administration work experience, preferably in a community college.
- Experience beyond the minimum.
- Knowledge of Parliamentary Procedure.
- Experience as a parliamentarian.
- Knowledge of election regulations.
- Work experience in the areas of legislative affairs, intergovernmental relations.

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
- The person in this position needs to move about both inside the office and at other locations where events are conducted.
- Frequently operates a computer for extended periods of time.
- Frequently communicates with others over the phone and in person; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Occasionally moves tables, chairs, equipment and carries boxes of supplies weighing up to thirty (30) pounds.
Exempt from FLSA. Is expected to work appropriate hours and schedule to complete assignments at established quality and quantity standards within assigned deadlines.
