What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Estimator position at Motz?
PROJECT ESTIMATOR
The Motz Group Project Estimator is responsible for the delivery of timely and accurate project estimates to support the company’s annual sales and revenue goals.

Key Activities:
- Review drawings to determine the scope of work and required contents of estimate.
- Preparing conceptual estimates for project budgeting by determining takeoffs based on design development drawings and standard specifications.
- Maintain files/database of working project costs as a backup for estimate figures, including current information on prices from suppliers through direct contact and surveys.
- Engages in the planning and estimating stage of synthetic and natural turf field projects to ensure the most efficient, safe, and economical systems are incorporated into the project design.
- Prepares initial project budget and schedule in accordance with contract terms and conditions.
- Promote The Motz Group's core values in all interactions (internal and external).
Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or a combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of experience with comprehensive and detailed knowledge of construction elements (cost, process, procedures, scopes of work, and sequencing).
- Ability to focus and be attentive to detail.
- Advanced level of experience: Microsoft office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Projects, Outlook), database, and documentation control systems.
- Construction/design experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with civil engineering and site construction is preferred.

- Strong written communication skills; experienced with writing proposals for products and services.
