Position Responsibilities:
- Adheres to and complies with all regulatory standards globally to profession and specific to unit.
- Understands all new physician orders must be implemented within two hours of initiation for routine and within 30 minutes or less for stat.
- Understands and is able to prepare patient for invasive and / or noninvasive medical procedures ensuring universal protocol compliance.
- Understands and is able to administer medication per physician’s orders adhering to the hospital approved patient identifiers, following the 5 rights of patient medication administration.
- Utilizes chain of command to communicate changes in patient condition and initiate timely interventions to prevent negative patient outcomes.
- Maintains current licensure and annual competencies as specific to assignment, keeping written evidence on file at all times.
- Understands the procedures to ensure continuity of patient profile/kardex and/or procedure preference cards or other unit specific tools, in a timely manner. Assures continuity of patient care assessment and reassessment as per policy.
- Follows the National Patient Safety goals as required.
Requirements:
- Licensure/Registration/Certification: State of Florida RN License; Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Certification; Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification within 1 year of employment.
- Education: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
- Experience: 1 year medical/surgical nursing experience; minimum 1 year psychiatric nursing experience; knowledge of computer and basic programs.

Salary : $63,500 - $80,500
